Role & Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of the in-store client experience, including management of services, classes and events for a single Sephora store location (Beauty, Skin and Fragrance Studio as applicable).
  • Manage daily studio operations and ensure Coordinators/Beauty Studio staff are trained to deliver and drive services on a day-to-day basis.
  • Publish and maintain advisors’ availability and class schedules within the services online reservation system to optimize bookings and client flow.
  • Drive team development through onboarding, product and selling-model training, performance coaching and facilitation of orientation sessions.
  • Support sales floor standards and visual merchandising execution; perform merchandising flips and ensure replenishment when inventory is moved to sales floor.
  • Coordinate with brand representatives to ensure effective in-store brand training and engagement; provide feedback on training quality and brand partnerships.
  • Deploy technology and service innovations to elevate guest experiences and ensure Beauty Advisors leverage available tools during services.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for service delivery and efficient client check-in; monitor service KPIs and adapt scheduling to demand.
  • Uphold safety and operational standards in a fragrance-filled environment and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and stocking shelves.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years’ experience in a similar managerial or senior specialist role in a high-volume retail or beauty-services environment.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop and mentor store talent to deliver sales and exceptional client service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with capacity to influence cross-functional partners at varying levels.
  • Strong organizational aptitude with experience managing appointment/reservation systems, class scheduling and staff rostering.
  • Demonstrated vendor and brand-management experience, including ability to evaluate and amplify brand-led training.
  • Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Experience

Two to four years of progressive experience in a comparable retail or beauty-services managerial capacity at a similar-volume store, with demonstrable results in team development, service delivery and store operations.

Education

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in retail management, business, cosmetology or a related field preferred.
