Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Beauty, Skincare and Fragrance Studio(s) at the assigned store, ensuring service quality and operational excellence.
- Manage the Online Reservation system — publish Beauty Advisor availability, schedule classes, and optimize bookings to maximize studio utilization.
- Plan, staff and execute in‑store events and classes to drive client education and incremental sales.
- Develop and certify Beauty Advisors through structured training, coaching and skills development initiatives to elevate artistry and service standards.
- Monitor staffing levels and create efficient schedules to support peak service demand while maintaining an exceptional client check‑in experience.
- Participate in performance management related to studio operations and direct reports; provide timely feedback and follow‑up for improvement.
- Act regularly as Manager on Duty, engaging on the sales floor with clients and Beauty Advisors and supporting the wider store leadership team.
- Promote and embed technology and service innovations to enhance the in‑store client experience.
Qualifications
- Two to four years’ experience in a comparable role within a high‑volume beauty or retail environment, or equivalent internal experience.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain store talent and to build strong frontline teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated event planning and operational coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fragrance‑filled environment and to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
Two to four years of progressive experience in a similar services or studio management role within a comparable volume store or equivalent internal experience.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, retail management, cosmetology or a related field preferred.
Workplace
This position is based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, within easy reach of Vancouver.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
