Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and support all on-floor departments (skincare, fragrance, Sephora Collection) to ensure consistent execution of Sephora’s selling model and superior client service.
- Act as Manager on Duty when required, resolving client escalations and ensuring smooth daily store operations.
- Coach, mentor and provide actionable feedback to Beauty Advisors to drive sales performance and individual development.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and execute in-store animations, updates and zoning to preserve the store’s look and feel.
- Monitor departmental sales metrics, identify opportunities, adjust staffing and priorities to meet business objectives and client demand.
- Participate in hiring interviews and onboarding for store-level roles as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of progressive retail experience in a high-volume beauty or cosmetics environment, or equivalent internal experience.
- Proven ability to influence peers and deliver constructive feedback; demonstrated leadership on the sales floor.
- Strong client-service orientation with a track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Effective time-management and problem-solving skills; comfortable acting as Manager on Duty.
- Ability to maintain visual merchandising standards and execute store-level initiatives.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar role at a high-volume retail or beauty store, with demonstrable floor leadership, coaching, and sales performance responsibilities.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or certification in retail, beauty or hospitality is an asset.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, with easy access to Halifax.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 20.70 to CAD 25.90 per hour.
