Sephora — Neuilly-sur-Seine: Senior Operations & Corporate Controlling Manager role leading Operations financial controlling and inventory reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead monthly closings and financial reporting for the Operations perimeter (Purchasing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality & Regulatory) and Corporate expenses in close collaboration with Accounting.
- Manage and coach a small team (2 direct reports), setting priorities, reviewing deliverables and ensuring timely month-end activities.
- Provide budget tracking, financial analyses and actionable recommendations to operational stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Monitor and steer financial impacts of finished goods and component inventory: stock level and quality assessment, calculation of accounting provisions/stock depreciation, and support end-of-life product clearance.
- Track and control investments related to product development (CAPEX such as molds and tooling) and IT investments (CAPEX & OPEX) with relevant departments.
- Drive annual planning cycles (Budget / Revised Forecast / Strategic Plan) for the Operations scope.
- Partner with Purchasing on financial projections and P&L impacts, including year-end rebate reconciliation and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (business school, engineering school or university) in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proven background in financial controlling or audit with strong accounting foundations.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in controlling or audit; 10+ years preferred for senior profiles.
- Demonstrated experience in month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and P&L analysis.
- Proven people management experience overseeing small finance teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

Experience
At least 8 years of hands-on experience in financial controlling or audit, ideally within retail, consumer goods or supply-chain-intensive environments; 10+ years preferred. Demonstrated ownership of month-end closings, budgeting cycles, inventory accounting and collaboration with Purchasing/Operations teams.
Education
Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering School or University) in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
