Sephora hiring Senior Labor Relations Business Partner (Northeast) — remote role based in New York City, NY. Lead NLRA/NLRB strategy and labor risk mitigation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead execution of U.S. labor relations strategy across retail and distribution center operations in the Northeast, identifying and mitigating organizing risk.
- Conduct labor vulnerability assessments using engagement metrics, ER data, operational indicators and external labor-market signals to inform proactive interventions.
- Design and implement scalable playbooks, rapid response protocols and governance standards for high‑risk labor events, including documentation and audit practices.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination during organizing campaigns, elections, objections and NLRB proceedings; partner with Legal on filings and compliance strategy.
- Advise and prepare retail, DC, HR and executive leaders for lawful communications and time‑sensitive crisis responses, delivering executive‑level updates and recommendations.
- Support collective bargaining strategy and contract administration where applicable; assist in arbitration preparation and post‑election stabilization.
- Develop and deliver advanced labor awareness training for leaders; build reporting and trend‑analysis tools to monitor workforce risk indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Law or related field preferred.
- 7–10 years progressive labor relations experience with demonstrable exposure to organizing campaigns and NLRA/NLRB processes.
- Deep knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act, multi‑state labor compliance and NLRB procedures.
- Proven experience advising senior leadership on high‑risk workplace matters and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Experience supporting collective bargaining, arbitration preparation or contract administration preferred.
- Superior analytical capability to translate workforce data into actionable risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent training, facilitation and executive communication skills; high degree of discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across a broad geography (up to 75%).

Experience
7–10 years of progressively responsible labor relations experience, including direct involvement with organizing campaigns, NLRA/NLRB matters, leader advisement in high‑risk scenarios, and exposure to multi‑state labor compliance. Experience supporting collective bargaining or arbitration is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related field preferred.
