Sephora seeks Senior General Ledger Accountant for 12-month contract role in Jakarta. Finance expertise in IFRS compliance and financial reporting required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, including fixed assets, inventory, and accruals
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes in line with required timelines
- Prepare all audit schedules and assist with audit inquiries, including support for the drafting of audited financial statements (AFS) for both internal and external auditors
- Prepare and support statutory compliance submissions, including audit, tax, and secretarial requirements
- Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with IFRS and Group Internal Control Policies
- Take complete ownership of assigned areas of focus and maintain the effectiveness of ongoing financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA or CA certification (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in a Big 4 firm
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP
- Fluent in English, with experience working or studying in an English-language environment
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with peers and internal stakeholders
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in a Big 4 audit or accounting firm. Background in financial operations, reporting, and statutory compliance is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA certification is preferred.
