Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and design Java microservices and frontend applications for high-availability eCommerce platform components using Object-Oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, DBMS/SQL, and Software Engineering practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and leads to drive key design decisions and ensure development of application components for enterprise projects
  • Evaluate new industry trends and emerging technologies for appropriateness and application within the eCommerce platform
  • Ensure platform components maintain clear separation of concerns and are designed for reliability and easy scaling
  • Participate in and provide feedback for load and performance testing initiatives
  • Define and implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for critical metrics at various levels
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers on microservices implementation best practices
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues across the eCommerce application stack to resolve operational and production issues impacting business
  • Influence technical decisions, build consensus among stakeholders, and resolve conflicts constructively
