Sephora Singapore is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data platforms and pipelines for its SEA omnichannel business.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and a modern data warehouse integrating diverse transactional, product and behavioural sources.
- Own and maintain clean, extensible data models and schemas to ensure consistency and trust across analytics and product teams.
- Partner with machine learning and analytics teams to provision training and real-time data pipelines for advanced use cases.
- Implement and champion engineering best practices across testing, CI/CD, observability and data security.
- Deliver production-ready datasets, APIs and data products that enable analytics, product and commercial stakeholders.
- Drive platform reliability and performance optimization for large-scale and latency-sensitive workloads.
- Coach and mentor engineers, contribute to hiring and improve team processes and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Must have: 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building production data systems and data warehouses.
- Must have: Advanced proficiency in SQL, strong data modelling skills and expertise in data warehouse design.
- Must have: Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Must have: Strong communication skills, stakeholder management and a solution-oriented, ownership mindset.
- Nice to have: Experience with big-data pipelines, performance optimisation and distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Beam).
- Nice to have: Exposure to machine learning workflows and serverless compute (e.g., ECS, Cloud Run).
Skills
Experience
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building scalable data systems, with demonstrated delivery of production pipelines, data models and warehouse solutions; experience supporting ML or advanced analytics is a plus.
Education
Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.

The successful candidate will be located in Singapore, Central, Singapore.
