Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise customer service, sales processes, team performance and day-to-day operations within an assigned department or 'world' to achieve sales and service targets.
- Support the store manager by implementing Sephora’s commercial concepts, culture and company policies to maximise profitability and compliance.
- Assume the store manager’s responsibilities in their absence or when delegated, including staff deployment and decision-making on the shop floor.
- Lead front-line HR duties for the assigned area — coach and develop staff, manage attendance and uphold performance standards.
- Deliver an exemplary client experience: actively coach service standards, perform product demonstrations and apply cosmetic products when required.
- Operate the cash register/POS when needed and ensure transactional accuracy and loss-prevention procedures.
- Maintain visual merchandising, stock availability and adherence to dress code and brand presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail supervision, team leadership or equivalent management role; experience in beauty/cosmetics is desirable.
- High school diploma (required); tertiary education preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues and to provide consistent, reliable customer service.
- Availability and schedule flexibility to meet retail hours and peak trading periods.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Office suite) is desirable; familiarity with POS systems advantageous.
- Ability to apply cosmetic products and perform product demonstrations.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of progressive experience in retail supervision, store operations or team management, ideally with direct experience in the beauty or luxury retail sector.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; university or post-secondary education in business, cosmetology or a related field is preferred.
