Sephora — Aix-en-Provence: Sales Manager (CDI, full-time) responsible for leading a retail beauty axis and driving sales & team performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead a designated commercial axis (Perfume, Skincare, Makeup, Cash, or Operations) and own the P&L and performance objectives for that area.
- Plan and organise the daily activity of the team, including staffing, rostering and operational priorities, to deliver sales and service targets.
- Animate growth levers aligned with the store’s commercial and human development plans; translate regional directives into local actions.
- Coach, motivate and develop sales advisors through product training, regular feedback and performance reviews to elevate client experience.
- Drive sales KPIs and conversion through merchandising execution, clienteling and standards of service; propose and implement improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and succession planning for the team and ensure compliance with brand standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven first experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a customer-service or retail environment.
- Demonstrable commercial orientation with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
- Strong leadership and people-development capability; aptitude for coaching and performance management.
- High intellectual agility, responsiveness and a propensity to propose pragmatic operational improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with commitment to service excellence and inclusive team dynamics.
Skills
Experience
A prior successful managerial experience in retail or a client-facing environment is required; proven ability to lead a small team, deliver sales results and develop talent.
Education
Secondary education required; vocational or higher education in retail, cosmetics, business or a related discipline is advantageous.
