The Sales Consultant welcomes customers, identifies their needs and recommends products while maintaining Sephora’s store presentation and service standards. The role also supports inventory, loss prevention, store operations and team training. Full-time, unlimited-term contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and enthusiastically assist all customers entering the store.
- Provide friendly, expert customer service; identify customer needs through effective questioning and recommend suitable products.
- Share product knowledge with customers and seek specialist knowledge in the assigned area.
- Maintain the store’s appearance in line with Sephora’s concepts and procedures, including product, service and event presentation, cleanliness, maintenance and organization standards.
- Contribute as a productive and motivated member of the store team; respect colleagues’ work and help foster a pleasant, organized work environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve the store and suggest possible solutions.
- Perform services as needed and keep abreast of market trends and competitor activity.
- Follow Sephora policies and procedures and the LVMH Group code of ethics and conduct.
- Strive to be a reference in the assigned area; participate in inventory control and quality, and complete delegated tasks promptly and accurately.
- Maintain store safety standards, support merchandise loss-prevention programs and help reduce company expenses without compromising service or presentation standards.
- Designated consultants must understand cashier functions; operate the point of sale when authorized.
- Remain aware of special store events and safeguard confidential information.
- Complete all My Sephora Learning training, actively seek additional training when needed and help train new consultants.
Qualifications
- Retail experience preferred.
- Beauty experience preferred.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Knowledge of a foreign language preferred.
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Able to handle and apply products to customers.
- Availability and flexibility.
- Adherence to the dress code.
- Consistent, reliable customer service.
- Committed and proactive approach, customer focus, teamwork, work ethic and values aligned with Sephora, results and action orientation, and willingness to learn.

Experience
Minimum 5 years; retail and beauty experience preferred.
Education
High school education or equivalent.
