Sephora Vernon Hills — Sales and Service Leader (full-time, $26–$30/hr). Lead the store team and deliver exceptional client experiences at IL-Mellody Farm.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead by example on the sales floor to inspire team performance, deliver exceptional client experiences, and meet or exceed store sales targets.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members through regular feedback, training on product knowledge, service excellence and loyalty program engagement.
- Drive client engagement with personalized recommendations and expert product guidance to maximize conversion and average transaction value.
- Support operational excellence including inventory control, store visual standards, merchandising execution and daily loss-prevention procedures.
- Manage scheduling, punctuality and staffing to ensure coverage during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and maintain consistent attendance expectations.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that promotes openness, belonging and high professional standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail, hospitality or service industry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to coach teams, improve performance and achieve measurable sales results.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first orientation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, targets-driven environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work 30–40 hours per week, including nights, weekends and holiday periods.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in retail, hospitality or service, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity responsible for coaching and driving sales.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in retail management, cosmetology or a related field preferred but not required.
