Sephora (Springfield, VA) is hiring a Sales and Service Leader — full-time hourly role ($28–$32/hr) to lead teams and drive client experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire store team members, modelling exceptional client service and driving a high-performance culture.
  • Coach and develop associates through continuous feedback, product training, and performance coaching to meet individual and store targets.
  • Drive sales performance via proactive client engagement, personalised recommendations, and expert product knowledge.
  • Oversee daily store operations including inventory tasks, visual merchandising standards, and adherence to company policies.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training on loyalty programmes, brand initiatives, and service excellence.
  • Manage scheduling expectations and ensure reliable coverage during peak retail periods (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative environment that prioritises client experience and team wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-service environments (preferably 2–3+ years for supervisory roles).
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate and develop teams to achieve sales and service objectives.
  • Strong sales orientation with demonstrated client engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting.
  • Quick learner with capacity to absorb and disseminate product knowledge and training content.
  • Physically capable of performing retail tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays; punctuality and consistent attendance required.

Experience

Minimum 2–3 years of progressive leadership experience in retail, hospitality or service-focused roles with a track record of coaching teams, meeting sales targets, and delivering outstanding client experiences.
