Sephora seeks an RGM Operational Excellence Director in Neuilly-sur-Seine to lead European transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale transformation processes and programs to reinvent the European operating model, coordinating cross-functional teams across brand negotiations, category management, supply chain, finance, and marketing
- Lead the development and deployment of strategic tools to enhance team productivity and performance, including floor plans, assortment, trade, and sales animation tools, while translating business needs into adapted IT solutions
- Support country teams in adopting new tools and processes through comprehensive change management, prioritizing requests and supervising associated budgets
- Manage store network information at the European Union level, including customer journey definition, visual merchandising guidelines, and network monitoring
- Oversee store openings and renovations processes, coordinating with country teams to define customer journey and brand allocations
- Design and implement collaborative tools to streamline communication and build reporting systems related to space allocation and store network management
- Lead a cross-functional team, fostering their development to achieve ambitious goals while ensuring smooth collaboration between local and central functions
- Understand local market specificities across European countries and tailor strategic recommendations to ensure effective implementation of European strategy
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with significant experience managing complex projects and business transformation
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in similar operational excellence, strategic operations, or business transformation roles, ideally within retail or mass distribution
- Proven expertise in change management and cross-functional leadership across supply chain, IT, finance, and commercial functions
- Advanced proficiency in analytical tools and project management methodologies
- Fluent English proficiency; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in operational excellence, strategic transformation, or business operations roles, preferably within the retail, mass distribution, or luxury goods sectors. Consulting experience is advantageous.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent higher education qualification in a related discipline.
