Sephora is hiring a Retail Supervisor in Dubai on a permanent, full-time basis. The role leads floor and cash operations, client experience, sales performance, reporting and team development, while supporting Store Management in meeting business KPIs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Sephora Attitude and set an example for the team, using digital tools to enhance the client experience.
- Build sales and basket size by sharing product knowledge, maintaining positive client relationships, supporting the team in difficult situations and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Motivate and energize the team through effective floor management, acting as an active co-lead with the floor manager and ensuring the floor is managed and covered.
- Promote complementary services and support the Manager in maintaining service quality and resolving customer complaints.
- Guide the team in recommending products suited to clients’ needs and skin types.
- Support the team in explaining and demonstrating new products; maintain an exceptional appearance and model Sephora grooming standards.
- Ensure the team understands Beauty Pass status, points and current offers, follows the correct scanning process, responds to customer queries or refers them to the appropriate colleague, and promotes the Sephora website and digital tools.
- Resolve complaints related to the Beauty Pass programme and educate the team on current offers, launches, guidelines and merchandising.
- Lead floor-management segments and keep product, tester, price, animation, stockroom and Beauty Hub merchandising aligned with Sephora standards.
- Drive cross-category and new-product sales, including animation items; promote complementary services to increase average basket sales.
- Support Store Management in meeting sales objectives, commercial and operational KPIs, business targets and market-share goals across selective, exclusive and Sephora Collection products.
- Reinforce sales policies and techniques established at Sephora University; create internal competitions and coach the team to deliver Beauty to Go sales through +1 behaviours, including gift voucher sales and cash-team objectives.
- Analyse relevant KPIs, propose improvement plans, contribute to business reports and send weekly customer-complaint reports to CRM.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Cash Manager or Operations Manager covering SBP recruitment, +1 behaviours, Beauty to Go sales, gift-wrap percentage, SBP process compliance and cash-team sales objectives.
- Ensure accurate and efficient client transactions; maintain cash-wrap supplies and a clean cash, gift-wrap and Beauty to Go area, with a focus on Beauty to Go sales, replenishment, pricing, merchandising and cleanliness.
- Update discrepancy files, shift summaries and other cash-related records; prepare bank deposits, cashier cash bags and daily cash reports; balance drawers and safes, reconcile cash and card receipts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Identify IT issues and lead their resolution; monitor offer availability and arrange alerts, orders or transfers as needed.
- Support audit improvements by helping management address findings and create action plans; direct the cash team and reinforce store-operation and cash-management procedures.
- Monitor Beauty to Go stock availability and report low stock to management; count cash drawers at shift changes, ensure adequate change, and resolve cash or card discrepancies.
- Assist across store departments as needed and enforce cash-management guidance in Sephorapedia, audit guidelines and CEE reports.
- Train, observe, motivate and develop the team; provide management with feedback and communicate business strategy through briefings, coaching and training.
- Recognise performance through praise and feedback, ensure training attendance and follow-up, and monitor daily Axonify usage and training frequency.
- Conduct monthly assessments to support the client experience; coordinate annual leave with Store Management according to business needs and help create and implement development plans.
- Train new employees in cash procedures and inspire the team to recruit SBP members, tracking results and coaching needs.
- Maintain current knowledge and skills through regular training and convention events at Sephora University or in store, and by actively using Axonify.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience.
- Proven success in team management, store operations and services.
- Advanced English for OGCC; intermediate English for KSA. Arabic is a plus for OGCC and mandatory for KSA.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Advanced mathematics skills.
- Knowledge of cash-management principles and/or procedures.
- Knowledge of cash-management systems.
- Ability to lead and inspire.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
