Sephora seeks a Retail Performance Analyst in San Francisco (Hybrid) to build dashboards, model retail KPIs and deliver data-driven insights.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain end-to-end reporting solutions: build integrations between multiple data platforms, design ETL flows and ensure data integrity for downstream analytics.
- Design, develop and sustain interactive dashboards and detailed reporting models (Tableau/Power BI) to monitor retail KPIs and inform business decisions.
- Perform quantitative analysis of retail trends across KPIs including revenue, traffic, conversion, ADS, UPT, operating expenses and client satisfaction.
- Deliver ad hoc business intelligence and actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Identify and implement reporting and process efficiencies to accelerate decision-making and reduce manual work.
- Synthesize complex analyses into concise, executive-ready presentations that articulate hypotheses, recommended courses of action and expected impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working with large datasets and advanced financial modelling, ideally within retail.
- Proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA experience a plus) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear narratives for senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive cross-functional relationships and to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience analyzing large datasets and building financial/retail models; experience in the retail or consumer goods sector preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 102,510 to USD 114,570 per annum.
