The Retail Operations Lead supports and directly manages store operations at Sephora, overseeing staffing, inventory, merchandising, cleaning crews, supplies and team performance while serving as Manager on Duty. The role is permanent and full-time, with compensation of CAD 22.20–26.10 per hour and potential performance-based bonuses, benefits, and learning and development initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead store operations and ensure all operations-focused processes are completed to company standards.
- Manage the Operations team, including staffing for store operations, the overnight stock team and the operations leadership team.
- Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving and returning merchandise, cycle counts, and completion of processes within company guidelines and timelines.
- Ensure merchandising concepts and on-stage visuals meet company standards.
- Manage in-house and third-party cleaning crews, providing feedback, coaching and escalation as needed to ensure agreed standards are met.
- Maintain appropriate budgets and quantities for store supplies, testers and samples.
- Participate in performance management for the Operations team and deliver timely improvement feedback with follow-up as needed.
- Regularly serve as Manager on Duty and engage with Beauty Advisors and clients on the sales floor when possible.
- Develop budget strategies and demonstrate a strong understanding of store sales performance, staffing, payroll and other controllable expenses.
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in a similar role at a store of similar volume, or equivalent internal experience.
- Proven ability to influence peers and provide feedback.
- Strong store operations skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
