Sephora is hiring a Retail Assistant (Beauty Advisor) in Chadstone, Melbourne — part-time role at $35.10/hr + super.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service across beauty, skincare, haircare and wellness categories to drive sales and loyalty.
- Advise customers on product features, application techniques and routines; demonstrate products and provide makeovers where appropriate.
- Promote and educate customers on the loyalty/CRM programme to grow client engagement and repeat visitation.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, process transactions and handle returns/exchanges in line with store policy.
- Ensure merchandising standards, stock integrity and visual presentation are maintained to brand guidelines.
- Participate in onboarding, ongoing product training and cross-training sessions delivered by field trainers and the online learning platform.
- Support in-store events, product launches and team initiatives to achieve store sales targets and customer acquisition goals.
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience in a retail or customer-facing environment; beauty retail experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a consultative selling approach.
- Demonstrable passion for beauty trends, product knowledge and customer education.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Right to work in Australia and willingness to participate in mandatory training programmes.

Entry-level position; previous retail or customer-facing sales experience is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training provided.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or certificate-level training in beauty/cosmetology is advantageous but not required.
