Regional HR Manager for Sephora Canada in Vancouver—15-month contract, CAD$101K–$118K, retail HR leadership across Western Canada.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with field and HR leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned to business priorities and support workforce engagement and growth
- Drive consistency in HR programs, policies, and best practices across all stores within the region
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead change initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and simplify ways of working
- Serve as trusted advisor on employee relations matters, performance management, and workplace concerns to store and field leaders
- Provide guidance on performance improvement plans, corrective action, and terminations while ensuring fairness, compliance, and consistency
- Coach and train leaders on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices to build positive employee experiences and mitigate risk
- Conduct and resolve employee relations investigations and escalated concerns in accordance with company policies and provincial legislation
- Champion occupational health and safety compliance by supporting training, committee meetings, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs
- Leverage HR metrics and workforce insights to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and support regional business planning
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning initiatives to build strong talent pipelines
- Oversee the annual performance management and merit cycle for retail teams in partnership with Total Rewards
- Enhance leadership capability through coaching on performance management, employee relations, and people leadership practices
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned region with occasional travel across Canada and the United States
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a multi-site retail environment or equivalent combination of HR and people leadership experience
- College diploma or university degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment to complex people matters
- Proven experience partnering with leaders to drive employee engagement, talent development, performance management, and business results
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a data-informed approach to decision-making
- Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive, positive workplace experiences and embodying organizational values
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region with occasional travel across Canada and the U.S.
- Comfort and confidence using digital and AI-enabled tools responsibly

Experience
3–5 years of progressive HR leadership in a multi-site retail environment, or an equivalent combination of HR and people leadership experience in a comparable organizational context.
Education
College diploma or university degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 101,000 to CAD 118,000 per annum.
