Sephora Regional Asset Protection Director position in New York City. Lead loss prevention strategy across Northeast stores with base salary $174,675–$195,225.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and maximize Asset Protection strategy across assigned regional stores with direct accountability for shrink reduction and investigations
- Manage a team of District Asset Protection Managers who oversee Store Asset Protection Partners, with responsibility for individual development plans and succession planning
- Identify market-specific shrink patterns, develop mitigation strategies, and conduct routine store visits to evaluate loss prevention opportunities
- Guide DAPM teams on exception-based reporting, surveillance technology, behavioral interviewing, and law enforcement coordination to maximize investigations
- Provide physical security recommendations to VP, Asset Protection for both existing and future store locations
- Manage regional budgets for AP staffing, security guards, team travel, and facility security measures
- Drive one additional function: organize and lead national retail crime partnerships and safety initiatives, develop AP training and policy frameworks, or serve as advocate for AP teams in field support projects
- Champion diversity and inclusive team development while building talent strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Represent Sephora values across all stakeholder interactions at leadership and field levels
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Asset Protection experience within multi-unit retail environments
- Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid, or equivalent behavioral interview certification
- Proficiency with Asset Protection applications, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and store systems including exception-based reporting and CCTV platforms
- Understanding of criminal and civil law as applied to the retail sector
- Proven ability to identify, recruit, and develop talented store and district leaders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional business partners
