As an employer, Sephora offers a dynamic, customer-centered environment where talent is encouraged to learn, experiment, and grow across retail, digital, merchandising, operations, and corporate functions. Its teams are united by a passion for beauty, entrepreneurship, and belonging, making Sephora a compelling workplace for professionals seeking impact within a fast-moving international brand.

Sephora seeks a Regional Asset Protection Director to lead regional strategy, shrink reduction, investigations, safety, and an additional Asset Protection function while managing District Asset Protection Managers and regional budgets. This is a permanent, full-time remote, market-based role; the ideal candidate resides in Boston, Philadelphia, or Upstate New York, and travel is approximately 70%. Annual base salary is $165,155–$184,585, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, business factors, and geographic location; bonus eligibility may also apply.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and maximize Asset Protection strategy across the region’s stores, with accountability for inventory shrink results and reducing liability through safe work practices.
  • Drive an additional function—Organized Retail Crime & Safety, AP Training/Policy & Procedure, or AP Operations & Implementation—in support of department objectives.
  • Directly manage District Asset Protection Managers (DAPMs), who manage Store Asset Protection Partners (SAPPs).
  • Maintain accountability for shrink reduction, investigations, and consistent safe business practices.
  • Build field partnerships that support sales, profit, client experience, and asset protection.
  • Identify market-specific opportunities and develop shrink-reduction strategies with DAPMs by reviewing theft patterns, managing investigations, and adjusting staffing.
  • Guide DAPMs in maximizing investigations through exception-based reporting, camera technology, behavioral interviews, and law enforcement resources.
  • Recommend physical security measures for existing and future store locations to the VP, Asset Protection.
  • Visit stores with DAPMs and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities to improve shrink and reduce liability.
  • Manage regional budgets for Asset Protection staffing, guards, team travel, meetings, and physical security.
  • Hold regular one-on-one conversations with DAPMs and create individual development plans.
  • Build an inclusive environment and develop diverse teams and leaders.
  • Develop regional talent, succession, and development plans to support business objectives and growth plans.
  • For Organized Retail Crime & Safety: develop and maintain national partnerships with retailers, law enforcement, and industry partners to enhance investigations and safety strategies; manage nationwide meetings, training, certification, support materials, and reporting; and develop crisis-intervention programs, including de-escalation, active-shooter, and disengagement techniques.
  • For AP Training/Policy & Procedure: develop and update Asset Protection training, policies, and procedures for Asset Protection and store teams; support company diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives with Asset Protection expertise.
  • For AP Operations & Implementation: represent the Asset Protection team on Field Support Center (FSC) project teams affecting stores; solicit feedback from the team and share critical insights; and provide formal updates to leadership.
  • Demonstrate Sephora’s values: welcome all to the world of beauty; lead with passion and heart; imagine fearlessly and make it happen; grow and win together; and inspire, uplift, and celebrate.
