Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent merchandising projects including seasonal moments, campaigns, promotions, and minis from kickoff through completion
  • Build and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and action plans while maintaining stakeholder visibility
  • Coordinate cross-functional partners across Merchandising and the organization, establishing clarity on roles, dependencies, decisions, and next steps
  • Anticipate project risks, resource constraints, and potential roadblocks; develop solutions and escalate issues appropriately
  • Provide clear, concise project updates to leadership and key stakeholders, emphasizing progress, decisions, risks, and required actions
  • Manage creative asset reviews and approvals, ensuring feedback is captured, aligned, and incorporated within established timelines
  • Facilitate assortment-management activities and support accurate, timely execution of merchandising plans
  • Develop and manage fixture briefs in partnership with merchants and cross-functional teams
  • Support optimization of merchandising systems and tools including Monday.com and Smartsheet to enhance visibility and collaboration
  • Identify and implement process improvements within Merchandising Operations and across the broader organization
  • Partner with Sephora at Kohl's merchants to strengthen coordination and improve team efficiency
  • Maintain clear, current process documentation, templates, and team resources that reflect evolving workflows
  • Execute additional projects and responsibilities as business priorities evolve

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in retail, merchandising, beauty, or related environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience using Monday.com and Smartsheet to manage projects and timelines
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities
