Sephora Canada — Planning Manager in Toronto: lead inventory planning, OTB forecasting and vendor partnerships in a hybrid role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing planning team; set objectives and drive accountability across planning activities.
  • Partner with Directors, Merchants and vendors to construct pre-season brand budget plans, SKU-level demand forecasts and order-flow setups for launches.
  • Own monthly in-season Open-to-Buy (OTB) processes to align sales, inventory and budget targets; manage ordering within OTB parameters.
  • Produce and maintain store-level forecasts and orders for the Canadian network to meet financial goals and stock continuity targets.
  • Develop launch and newness forecasting, support merchandising and promotional strategies, and drive allocation for key initiatives.
  • Validate assortment productivity through analysis and make recommendations on presentation, discontinuations and new item development.
  • Design liquidation strategies for exit brands/collections not eligible for RTV, coordinating with Merchandising, US Inventory and Store teams.
  • Maintain regular vendor communications on sales performance, in-stock levels and forward-looking forecasts to support fill-rate objectives.
  • Report weekly on business trends, stock continuity and conduct seasonal hindsight analyses to inform future planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business, retail management, or related field; MBA considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in retail planning and/or buying, preferably in multi-store or omnichannel environments.
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach, influence and develop cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success managing OTB, launches and inventory across networks.
  • Advanced analytical capability and a demonstrated aptitude for data-driven decision making.

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 101,000 to CAD 113,000 per annum.
