Sephora seeks Accounts Payable Accountant in Saran, France. Manage AP and fixed asset accounting for European subsidiaries with SAP expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor accounts payable ledgers for multiple European subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, and purchasing regulations
- Review, post, and validate supplier invoices for direct purchasing and capital expenditure, monitoring approval workflows and processing deadlines
- Monitor and resolve supplier disputes in coordination with the Supply Chain team, and oversee supplier account reconciliations and balance clearance activities
- Manage fixed asset accounting by reviewing purchase requisitions, creating asset records in SAP, processing capital expenditure invoices, and coordinating asset capitalization with operational teams
- Monitor asset movements, transfers, and participate in month-end and year-end closing activities including depreciation analysis and reconciliations
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) within the invoice processing cycle and identify improvement opportunities for action plans
- Monitor accruals and provisions with local Controlling teams, and review balances of Accounts Payable-related accounts
- Participate in periodic reviews by External Auditors and Internal Audit teams, ensuring accuracy and quality of financial information
- Analyze supplier accounts and balances, handle supplier requests and follow-ups, and resolve discrepancies in compliance with company procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in the deployment of innovative automation solutions and digital transformation projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (minimum Bac +2/3)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounts payable or fixed asset accounting position
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical abilities with a proactive and autonomous mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative team-working ability
- Ability to thrive in changing and evolving environments
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounts payable or fixed asset accounting, ideally within an international organization or multinational group. Demonstrated experience managing supplier invoicing, payment workflows, and capital expenditure processes across multiple entities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (minimum Bac +2/3 from the French education system or equivalent).
