Sephora is hiring a part-time Paid Services Beauty Advisor II on a permanent basis in Richmond Hill, Ontario, for 15–29 hours per week. The certified beauty services expert delivers personalized paid makeup services and consultations, builds client relationships, drives service bookings and product sales, and maintains service and hygiene standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized makeup applications, consultations, and recommendations that build client confidence and encourage repeat visits.
- Use service appointments to identify client needs, recommend products and routines, convert services into product sales, and contribute to store sales and goals.
- Build client relationships through rebooking and loyalty activities that support retention and repeat business.
- Promote beauty services, secure bookings and rebookings, and inform clients about available services, events, and experiences to maximize studio utilization.
- Follow beauty service protocols, hygiene and sanitation standards, appointment processes, and service administration requirements.
- Keep current on beauty trends, products, techniques, and service offerings through ongoing training and development.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail sales, beauty services, makeup artistry, skincare, salon, spa, or other client-facing service.
- Strong makeup application, skincare consultation, product demonstration, and selling skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete Sephora Beauty Services certification requirements.
- Maintain provincial licensing requirements where applicable.
- Availability for 15–29 hours per week and on at least four days.
- Availability on three high-demand service days, including holidays; two of those days must include closing availability, with preference for Saturday and/or Sunday closing (Thursday–Sunday).
- During peak seasonal periods (wedding and holiday), availability on three high-demand service days, all with closing availability, including Saturday and Sunday (Thursday–Sunday).
- For June prom-season coverage, availability Monday through Wednesday, with two days including availability until close.
- Formal beauty, makeup artistry, esthetics, salon, spa, or freelance service experience preferred.
- Active cosmetology, makeup artist, or esthetics license preferred where provincially applicable.
- Formal education in esthetics, makeup artistry, or cosmetology preferred.
- Makeup artistry, esthetics, or cosmetology certification strongly preferred.
