Sephora Operations Manager (interim, 12–18 months) in Montreal, Canada. Lead store operations, inventory, and visual merchandising. Salary: CAD $54,800–$68,500.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Direct all store operations activities to ensure smooth and optimal execution in compliance with company standards
  • Manage store inventory including receiving, shipping, returns, and cycle counts while adhering to company directives and timelines
  • Oversee visual merchandising concepts and sales floor elements to meet company brand standards
  • Manage internal and third-party cleaning teams, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon standards through coaching and escalation when necessary
  • Manage supplies, demonstrators, and samples budget and allocation to support store requirements
  • Participate in performance management situations and provide timely feedback to operations team members for continuous improvement
  • Assume store manager responsibilities on an ad-hoc basis and engage with beauty advisors and customers on the sales floor as needed
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen in revenue, staffing, payroll, and controllable store expenses

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in an operations-focused management role or equivalent internal experience
  • Demonstrated experience motivating and leading teams to achieve company expectations and objectives
  • Ability to remain composed and conduct difficult conversations with direct reports
  • Proven capacity to build high-performing teams and identify talent development opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders across all levels
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
