Sephora — Operations Leader in Washington, DC (full-time hourly $28–$32/hr) overseeing store operations, inventory and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day store operations including inventory management, replenishment and order fulfillment to maximize availability and minimize shrink.
- Lead visual merchandising and promotional set‑ups to ensure brand-compliant presentation and support sales initiatives.
- Coach, develop and evaluate the operations team to drive performance against store goals and operational KPIs.
- Partner with client-facing colleagues to support an exceptional in-store experience and contribute to sales objectives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards and safety requirements to create a secure shopping environment.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to meet required weekly hours and peak retail periods (nights, weekends, holidays).
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in retail operations or hospitality (3+ years preferred).
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop front-line teams to achieve measurable results.
- Strong organizational aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster an inclusive, accountable culture.
- Available to work flexible retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance required.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required by store operations.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in retail operations or hospitality; 3+ years preferred. Demonstrated success in coaching teams, managing inventory and executing visual merchandising and promotional initiatives.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in retail, business or hospitality is advantageous.
