Sephora seeks an Operations Leader in Brooklyn, NY — full-time hourly role ($28–$32/hr) managing store operations, inventory and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day store operations including inventory management, replenishment and order fulfillment to ensure product availability and merchandising compliance.
- Lead visual merchandising initiatives, promotional setups and store maintenance to uphold brand presentation and drive sales.
- Coach, train and develop operations and sales team members on operational procedures, selling behaviours, performance metrics and company initiatives.
- Collaborate with the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional client experience and support achievement of sales and service goals.
- Enforce company policies and safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive in-store culture.
- Maintain reliable attendance and flexible availability during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in retail operations or hospitality, with demonstrable success developing frontline teams.
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and proven problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds as required.
- Punctual, reliable and able to meet the minimum weekly shift requirement (30–40 hours for full-time).
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations or hospitality, with a track record of coaching teams, managing inventory workflows, and meeting operational KPIs.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or certificate in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
