The Operations Associate partners with the Operations Supervisor to manage stockroom organization, merchandise updates, shipment processing, inventory control, and store presentation, while providing client service and supporting cashier training. This part-time, flex, non-guaranteed-hours position pays CAD 17–20 per hour and includes responsibilities involving physical stock handling.

Role & Responsibilities

• Partner with the Operations Supervisor to maintain stockroom organization and merchandise updates.
• Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable client service as needed during store business hours.
• Assist in training cashiers and consultants on Point-Of-Sale (POS) and MPOS.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the cashier zone and uphold Sephora’s merchandising concepts.
• Participate in programs to reduce shortage and loss.
• Receive and process shipments in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain the stockroom according to company standards.
• Process transfers, damages, and testers according to company standards.
• Check in visual elements and report missing or damaged pieces to the Operations Supervisor.
• Maintain safety and tidiness standards at all times.
• Communicate inventory issues or concerns to supervisors, assistant managers, or the Store Manager.
• Follow sampling policies and procedures and participate in inventory control.
• Cross-train in cashier functions when designated.

Qualifications

• Possess good computer, arithmetic, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask while remaining attentive to client and business needs.
• Effective time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in a fragrance-filled environment, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and bend and stretch to stock shelves.

Experience

1–2 years of retail or client service industry experience, preferably in a stockroom capacity.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent.

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17 to CAD 20 per hour.
