Merchant - Fragrances at Sephora Dubai. Lead regional fragrance assortment, brand partnerships, and category strategy. Full-time, hybrid role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support Category Director in developing and executing fragrance category strategies, including sales forecasting and stock planning
  • Manage SKU-level assortments across assigned fragrance brands to ensure optimal product mix aligned with commercial objectives
  • Monitor stock levels across retail stores and e-commerce platforms to ensure product availability for launches and key commercial moments
  • Maintain and optimize planograms to maximize brand visibility and merchandising excellence
  • Develop and manage the fragrance category calendar including new product launches, assortment expansions, and discontinuation plans
  • Prepare SKU-level sales forecasts by country aligned with brand budgets and commercial targets
  • Analyze inventory performance and recommend corrective action plans for overstock or slow-moving products
  • Conduct regular assortment reviews and performance analyses to identify optimization opportunities
  • Coordinate regulatory and compliance requirements for all new product launches
  • Collaborate with brand partners and internal stakeholders to plan and execute activations, launches, and promotional campaigns
  • Coordinate training support with brand partners and Education team for successful product launches
  • Manage shelving plans and in-store merchandising of fragrances based on brand performance
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned fragrance brands ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners and key internal stakeholders
  • Lead regular business reviews with brand partners to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and in line with agreed objectives
  • Monitor and report on brand performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver consistent brand experiences across all customer touchpoints
  • Coordinate brand activations across retail and e-commerce channels ensuring alignment on visibility and commercial priorities
  • Define and manage online assortment strategy for the fragrance category
  • Prepare monthly category and brand performance reports including key KPIs and commercial insights
  • Track brand budgets by country and store ensuring alignment with financial targets
  • Ensure accurate budget management, cost tracking, and timely reinvoicing processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Merchandising, Category Management, Brand Management, Buying, or related commercial role
  • Proven experience managing brands, assortments, and commercial partnerships
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with retail planning and reporting tools is an advantage
