Sephora Hong Kong - Merchandising Manager role overseeing prestige beauty brand strategy, assortment, and merchandising across omni-channel channels.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead omni-channel category strategy and promotional planning for key prestige beauty brands across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrance categories
  • Analyze OMNI sales performance, brand reports, and KPIs by channel, market, segment, margin, and stock levels to optimize brand growth
  • Develop, manage, and optimize product assortments in collaboration with brands to drive category productivity and performance
  • Negotiate and review trade terms with cosmetic groups and brand partners while ensuring assortment relevance and linear productivity targets
  • Develop annual brand plans including product launch calendars, sales targets, and validate new product launches with 360-degree departmental collaboration
  • Propose animation slots and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales while curating and monitoring product assortment
  • Manage floorplan and planogram development in coordination with the Senior Merchandising Manager and Visual Merchandising team for store openings, renovations, and updates
  • Coordinate with supply chain to meet stockholding KPIs, review stock-on-hand levels, and manage action plans for excess inventory and discontinued SKUs
  • Mentor and support career development of merchandising team members
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across regional teams, marketing, supply chain, e-commerce, and retail operations to ensure seamless launch execution and category goal achievement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in account management, marketing, merchandising, or multi-brand management, preferably in beauty or FMCG
  • Demonstrated expertise in beauty industry trends, new brands, and prestige beauty market dynamics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proficiency in sales data analysis and business intelligence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in omni-channel retail operations and cross-functional team management
