Sephora in Düsseldorf, Germany seeks a Marketing Director to lead DENS Hub marketing across Denmark, Germany, Sweden & Switzerland.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute a holistic, data-driven marketing strategy to grow brand awareness and market share across the DENS Hub (Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland; with shipments to Austria, Finland, Norway).
- Lead full-funnel media planning and optimisation across paid channels (search, social, display, programmatic, video, affiliate) and coordinate performance marketing with the Digital team.
- Drive organic media growth through SEO & GEO, content marketing, and influencer partnerships, and implement attribution models to measure channel impact and optimise spend.
- Plan and deliver PR, influencer and events strategy to maintain relevance and visibility, including sponsorships, large-scale consumer activations and new store openings.
- Oversee campaign localisation and activation calendars across regional markets; manage relationships with local agencies, media partners and vendors for cost-effective execution.
- Design and implement the annual Sephora Animation Plan and joint marketing/activation programmes with department store and retail partners; align retail media investments with other marketing streams.
- Own crisis communications planning and execution in close collaboration with the European headquarters to protect brand integrity.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team: foster an open feedback culture, coach talent, create succession plans and ensure clear performance expectations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging platforms to identify opportunities and preserve competitive advantage; travel as required across the hub.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership experience as a Marketing Director or equivalent.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful full-funnel marketing strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Demonstrable expertise in digital media, SEO, content marketing, influencer relations, PR and event management.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and implement attribution-driven optimisation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing at leadership level.
- Proven people leadership: talent development, coaching and creating succession plans.
- Willingness to travel across the DENS Hub and to collaborate with European headquarters.
