Sephora Manager, Product Design (Remote, USA) – Lead AI-driven design strategy and mentor designers shaping beauty retail's future. $160K–$198K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy across a multi-domain portfolio including stores, client service, marketing technology, and account trust and security, maintaining cohesive client-centered experience across all platforms
- Champion design thinking and innovation by facilitating problem-solving and ideation sessions, ensuring user research informs compelling solutions
- Champion thoughtful adoption of AI across the design team, translating emerging AI capabilities into intuitive and trustworthy experiences that solve real client problems
- Uphold exceptional design quality by mentoring designers across all design disciplines—from sketching to prototyping—while driving consistent organizational results
- Strengthen collaboration and communication by building trust and fostering cross-functional partnerships with engineering, product, marketing, and operations stakeholders
- Lead design of AI-powered and agentic experiences, identifying opportunities where AI meaningfully improves client journey including discovery, personalized recommendations, product education, and beauty advice
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in UX design with deep understanding of e-commerce and mobile app design principles
- Minimum 3 years of management experience
- Demonstrated experience shaping and delivering customer-facing AI, machine learning, personalization, recommendation, conversational, or intelligent product experiences
- Expertise in leading product strategy and user experience vision, complemented by skill in workshop design and facilitation
- Proven ability to apply generative AI or other emerging technologies within product design practice, from exploration and prototyping through delivery
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to inspire and persuade diverse audiences and coach designers on AI-assisted workflows
- Bachelor's degree in design, related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX design with substantive expertise in e-commerce and mobile application design principles, combined with a minimum of 3 years of team leadership or management experience. Demonstrated track record of successfully shaping and delivering customer-facing AI and machine learning experiences, including personalization, recommendation engines, conversational interfaces, and intelligent product features. Proven experience applying generative AI and other emerging technologies within product design contexts, from early exploration and rapid prototyping through production delivery.
Education
Bachelor's degree in design, digital design, interaction design, computer science, or related field; or equivalent professional experience demonstrating mastery of design principles and practice.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 160,470 to USD 198,200 per annum.
