Sephora seeks Manager, Human Resources for Distribution Center in Perryman, Maryland. Lead talent, culture, and HR operations. Salary $124,695–$139,365 annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage the cyclical performance management process and provide performance improvement plan support, disciplinary guidance, and termination oversight
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR and talent acquisition strategies with operational business goals, focusing on current and future talent needs
  • Perform succession planning and gap analysis to develop effective leadership development plans and deliver leadership coaching and consultation
  • Conduct exit interviews for exempt leaders and analyze exit interview and onboarding feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Build and develop a skilled HR team while supporting strategic leadership development initiatives and network/HQ projects
  • Ensure site alignment and consistency across the DC HR network while managing escalated employee relations issues, legal concerns, and compliance matters
  • Drive employee engagement efforts including listening sessions, Voice Surveys, action plans, and site safety calibration
  • Manage workers' compensation cases, staffing agency partnerships, and site-specific workforce analysis
  • Conduct site work accommodation analysis, consult on escalated leave of absence situations, and maintain consistent policy enforcement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant Human Resources Management experience at manager level or equivalent, preferably in distribution center or manufacturing plant
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • PHR or SPHR certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions, exercise confidentiality, and practice excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, handle multi-tasking under pressure, and adapt quickly to fast-paced environments
