Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Innovation & Development team in selecting, testing and qualifying a portfolio of makeup formula developments from concept through industrialisation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Packaging Development on new briefs to propose technically and commercially viable formulation solutions and performance targets.
  • Design and supervise formula work with external manufacturers, accounting for packaging constraints and marketing requirements.
  • Run feasibility and risk-assessment studies, anticipate technical obstacles and propose mitigation plans to protect launch schedules and cost/margin objectives.
  • Coordinate stability, compatibility and performance testing; validate final formula, adjust shades and participate in on-line trials at manufacturing sites.
  • Work with Purchasing to align supplier choices with cost and margin targets and with Quality to define bulk specifications and ensure dossier transfer.
  • Contribute to claims management and the technical storytelling that supports product positioning and commercial impact.
  • Maintain the formulation catalogue and pilot reformulation projects when necessary; track schedules, report progress and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Licence/B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Formulation Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • Prior technical experience or internships in cosmetic R&D, formulation or industrialisation preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with pragmatic, results-oriented approach to project delivery.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to present technical recommendations clearly to cross-functional partners.
  • Availability for occasional travel to manufacturing sites and test laboratories.
