Sephora in Berlin seeks a Makeup Department Manager (Full‑time) to lead sales, coaching and operations at the Ku'damm store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations of the makeup department: merchandising, stock replenishment, tester management and ensuring compliance with Sephora operational standards and audits.
  • Drive commercial performance by achieving monthly and annual sales targets, tracking retail KPIs (MS, IPT, AVB, CR) and implementing action plans to grow category turnover and year‑on‑year sales.
  • Coach, develop and motivate the team: deliver inductions, organise trainings, delegate tasks and model the ‘Sephora Attitude’ to ensure consistently excellent customer experiences.
  • Provide active on‑floor customer service and product advice, support team members in selling through product knowledge and personalised consultations.
  • Manage administrative and operational responsibilities including inventory cycles, receiving and returns, cash register opening/closing procedures and expense monitoring for the department.
  • Collaborate with visual merchandising and brand teams on in‑store activations, planograms and Click & Collect processes where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in retail within the relevant beauty department, including demonstrable team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and understanding of retail KPIs.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capability with the ability to inspire and develop a front‑line team.
  • Excellent communication and delegation skills, reliable and solution‑oriented with a commercial mindset.
  • Good knowledge of beauty categories and trends; comfortable using retail systems and managing stock processes.
  • Fluent in English or native proficiency in the country language (German).

Experience
