Sephora Palo Alto (Stanford Shopping Center) seeks a Part-Time Beauty Advisor. Provide personalized consultations and drive sales. $22.60–$26.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized consultations and product recommendations that respond to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance; educate and empower clients to build confidence and repeat purchase.
- Drive sales and achieve individual KPIs through proactive selling, clienteling and upselling techniques.
- Stay current with beauty trends, new product launches and application techniques to provide relevant, expert advice.
- Support merchandising and inventory tasks, maintain visual standards and ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor.
- Uphold company policies and safety standards while fostering an inclusive, team-oriented store culture.
- Maintain reliable availability for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and meet required minimum hours for part-time roles.
Qualifications
- Previous experience providing excellent customer service in retail, hospitality or another client-facing environment is preferred.
- Passion for beauty, products and trends with an eagerness to learn and share product knowledge.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and long-term client relationships.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform routine retail tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience
Entry-level role; prior retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent service and meet sales targets is valued.
