Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Makeup Category team throughout the commercial lifecycle.
- Liaise with suppliers to gather new line information and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist the Makeup Category Manager with trend analysis, forecasting, and identifying emerging brands and innovations.
- Prepare product nominations for marketing, social media, and PR activities.
- Analyze sales, margin, and performance trends to identify opportunities for weekly trade reviews.
- Raise purchase orders for new ranges, promotional buys, samples, and ad hoc requests.
- Update product data, pricing files, codes, and supplier contact information to maintain accuracy.
- Resolve supplier invoice queries by collaborating with Finance to address pricing discrepancies.
- Manage the call-in, tracking, and coordination of product samples for marketing and retail needs.
- Oversee retail sampling processes and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support ad-hoc administrative tasks and commercial projects assigned by senior team members.
- Deputize for the Assistant Category Manager when required.
Qualifications
- Proactive, organized, and commercially driven with a passion for beauty.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and confidence using systems and data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive mindset, able to use initiative and work independently when required.
- A collaborative, positive approach with a strong work ethic.
Skills
Experience
Experience in buying or a retail head office environment is advantageous.
