Role & Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on motorized material handling equipment, conveyor belts and building HVAC systems.
- Diagnose, repair and adjust mechanical and electrical equipment; accurately document maintenance actions and parts used.
- Perform facility repairs, custodial fixes and equipment upgrades as assigned by the Maintenance/Facilities Manager.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, shop equipment and aerial lifts (including scissor lifts) to perform assigned tasks safely.
- Coordinate with external service providers, inspectors and property/asset managers to ensure building and equipment performance.
- Support set up, tear down and clean up for company meetings, events and on-site functions.
- Adhere to all safety, loss prevention and company policies; report hazards and potential violations promptly.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedule, including overtime and shift work as business needs require.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade certification preferred.
- Minimum three years of practical experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent in an industrial/distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with automated process control and material handling equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings and perform standard maintenance tasks (lubrication, adjustments, set-up, calibration).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights (up to 32 feet) using aerial lifts; comfortable working indoors and outdoors in variable conditions.
- Valid, safety-conscious work habits and strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
