Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motorized material handling equipment, conveyor systems and building HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose, repair and document mechanical and electrical faults on equipment; perform needed adjustments and calibrations.
  • Complete assigned equipment and facility repairs, upgrades and custodial repairs to maintain operational availability.
  • Operate hand and power tools, shop equipment and lifts safely to execute maintenance tasks, including work at heights.
  • Coordinate with local service providers, inspectors and property asset managers as directed by the Maintenance/Facilities Manager.
  • Support set-up, tear-down and clean-up for company events and assist other departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety, loss prevention and company policies; report hazards and comply with required PPE and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and work required overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade training or vocational instruction preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience as a maintenance mechanic, industrial maintenance technician or equivalent.
  • Proven background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with automated process control or material handling equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout a scheduled shift.
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to 32 feet) and operating scissor lifts and other warehouse lift equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings, and to perform standard maintenance tasks (lubrication, set-up, calibration).
