Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motorized material handling equipment, conveyor systems and building HVAC systems.
- Diagnose, repair and adjust mechanical and electrical equipment; accurately document all maintenance actions and part usage.
- Execute facility repairs and upgrades, including custodial repairs and routine building maintenance.
- Operate hand and power tools, scissor lifts and other warehouse lift equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Coordinate with local service providers, inspectors and property asset managers to support building and equipment performance.
- Support set up, tear down and cleanup for company meetings and events held on site.
- Adhere to all safety and loss-prevention policies; report hazards and compliance issues promptly.
- Maintain schedule flexibility and work required overtime based on operational needs, including shift work on the assigned 3rd-shift roster.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with technical training and/or relevant vocational coursework.
- Two to three years of practical experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent; background in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with motorized material handling equipment, conveyor maintenance and HVAC system repair.
- Familiarity with Automated Process Control and Material Handling Equipment maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings and perform calibration, lubrication and set-up tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to work safely at heights up to 32 feet.
- Proven ability to operate standard hand and power tools and shop equipment safely.
Skills
Experience
Minimum two to three years of practical experience as a maintenance mechanic or in an industrial maintenance role, with hands-on exposure to mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in distribution or warehouse environments.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related discipline preferred.
