Sephora Canada seeks an Asset Protection Partner in Ottawa, ON — full‑time loss prevention role safeguarding store assets and supporting operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive surveillance on the sales floor and monitor CCTV to identify, deter and apprehend external thefts while adhering to legal and company policies on search, seizure and evidence preservation.
- Prepare clear, factual incident reports, merchandise recovery documentation, accident investigations and audit findings for store leadership and loss prevention management.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local law enforcement, mall security and peer retailers; testify in court when summoned.
- Deliver new‑hire and ongoing loss prevention training to store teams and provide in‑the‑moment coaching to mitigate shrinkage.
- Perform store self‑audits, safety inspections and checklists; communicate findings and collaborate with leadership and the District Loss Prevention Manager on corrective actions.
- Support inventory preparation and assist in the development and execution of shrinkage prevention plans across assigned stores; be available to work multiple locations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Satisfy and maintain all required provincial or local security/licensing requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interviewing, listening and interpersonal skills; ability to provide calm, effective coaching in high‑pressure situations.
- Proficiency with CCTV operations and basic Microsoft Windows applications; Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent; availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to work in a fragrance‑filled environment.
