Sephora Asset Protection Partner position in San Jose, CA. Full-time hourly role ($25–$29.50/hr) focused on retail safety and loss prevention.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain strong store presence on the selling floor (75–80% of shift time) to deter theft, support customer service, and ensure environmental safety
- Lead and participate in asset protection and safety training sessions to reinforce protocols across the team
- Collaborate with store leadership and the District Asset Protection Manager to align shrink reduction and safety initiatives
- Monitor CCTV systems and use reporting tools to identify, investigate, and document loss incidents
- De-escalate conflict situations professionally while prioritizing safety and customer experience
- Execute audits and prepare comprehensive reports on asset protection efforts for management review
- Ensure full compliance with all asset protection policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
- Support multiple store locations as needed and represent Sephora in legal proceedings if required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention
- Demonstrated understanding of retail operations, shrink dynamics, and safety protocols
- Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across functional teams
- Strong conflict de-escalation and communication skills
- Proficiency with CCTV systems and digital reporting tools
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication abilities
- Physical capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
