Sephora — Licensed Beauty Advisor in Chicago, IL. Full-time hourly position providing makeup, waxing and beauty services at State Street store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services (makeup application, waxing, false-lash application and other services defined in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu) while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Achieve store objectives through service rebookings, product sales and proactive clienteling to build lasting client relationships.
- Maintain active licensure required by the state and adhere to all health, safety and sanitation protocols.
- Educate and inspire clients on product usage, trends and regimen recommendations to elevate client confidence and drive conversion.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative store culture and support team goals during peak retail hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Active, state-required license to perform waxing, makeup and false-lash application in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or within retail, hospitality or service environments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide personalized client service and to build repeat clientele.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule (full-time: 30–40 hrs/week) including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience
1–3 years of experience in a beauty services role, retail sales, hospitality or customer-service environment; proven track record delivering one-to-one services and building repeat clientele.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved esthetics or cosmetology program and any required state certifications/licenses.
