Sephora (Jordan Creek, West Des Moines) is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part Time) to provide makeup and waxing services and drive in-store sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional beauty services in the Beauty Studio—makeup application, waxing and false lash application—consistent with Sephora’s service menu and sanitation protocols.
  • Drive retail results by selling products, educating clients on product usage and benefits, and rebooking follow-up services to build repeat business.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and trend knowledge to provide tailored recommendations and consultative client experiences.
  • Keep professional licenses current and adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Contribute to a collaborative store culture by supporting teammates, following company policies, and helping create a safe and inclusive shopping environment.
  • Meet scheduling expectations, including availability for peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays), punctuality and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

  • Active state license to perform waxing, makeup and false lash application in the state where services are provided.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar beauty services, retail, hospitality or client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of skincare, makeup and fragrance products, trends and application techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver personalized client consultations, build rapport and drive repeat bookings.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends and holidays and ability to meet required weekly shift minimums.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required.

Experience

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.80 to USD 26 per hour.
