Sephora in Strongsville, OH seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part‑Time) to provide waxing, makeup and beauty services. $19.80–$26.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services in-store according to Sephora’s Beauty Services menu, including makeup application, waxing and false eyelash application.
- Achieve store performance goals by converting consultations into product sales and rebooking paid beauty services.
- Conduct personalised client consultations to recommend products and services, educating clients on trends, routines and product usage.
- Maintain active state licensure and comply with health, safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative store culture that upholds Sephora service standards and company policies.
- Adhere to scheduling requirements and maintain reliable attendance, including availability for nights, weekends and holiday peak periods.
Qualifications
- Active state license authorizing waxing, makeup and false eyelash application where services are performed.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality or service environments; entry-level candidates with required licensure may be considered.
- Demonstrable product knowledge across skincare, makeup and beauty tools; keeps current with industry trends.
- Strong client service orientation with ability to build lasting client relationships and personalised service plans.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform services while standing for extended periods.
- Punctual, reliable and able to meet minimum weekly shift/hours requirements.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a comparable beauty service or retail role is preferred; Sephora will consider entry-level applicants who hold the required professional licensure and demonstrate strong client service aptitude.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a cosmetology, esthetics or makeup artistry program preferred. State cosmetology/esthetics licensure required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.80 to USD 26 per hour.
