Sephora in Sherman Oaks, CA is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part Time) to provide makeup and waxing services at Fashion Square.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio — including makeup application, waxing and false-lash application — in accordance with Sephora’s service menu.
- Drive sales and service rebookings by consulting clients, recommending products and closing transactions to help achieve store targets.
- Maintain active licensure and consistently apply health, hygiene and sanitation protocols for all services.
- Educate and inspire clients with up-to-date product knowledge, trends and personalized recommendations.
- Contribute to an inclusive, team-oriented retail environment by supporting colleagues and adhering to company standards for safety and customer experience.
- Maintain reliable attendance and availability during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet minimum weekly shift requirements.
Qualifications
- Active state license to perform waxing, makeup and false-lash application where services are provided (California license required for this location).
- 1–3 years of client-facing experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality or a related service environment.
- Demonstrated product knowledge across makeup and skincare ranges and up-to-date familiarity with beauty trends and techniques.
- Proven ability to deliver personalized client service and build repeat clientele through consultative selling and service rebookings.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable availability for scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience
1–3 years of relevant client-facing experience in a beauty services role, retail, hospitality, or similar service environment; demonstrated track record of delivering personalized service and meeting sales or rebooking targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology, esthetics or related vocational certification advantageous.
