Sephora is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (part-time) in Scarsdale, NY. Makeup, waxing, and beauty services — $24–$27.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver makeup application, waxing, and beauty services listed in Sephora's Beauty Services menu while maintaining health and safety protocols
- Drive retail results by achieving store sales goals, rebooking beauty services, and upselling complementary products to clients
- Educate and empower clients with current beauty trends, product knowledge, and personalized service recommendations
- Maintain active beauty licensure and uphold all hygiene and sanitation standards as required by state regulations
- Foster a culture of inclusiveness and teamwork, promoting an empowering environment for both clients and colleagues
- Uphold Sephora brand standards by following company policies and ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping experience
Qualifications
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup application, and false lash services in New York State
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar beauty services role, or equivalent experience in retail, hospitality, or client-facing service environments
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, current trends, and application techniques
- Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting professional relationships
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a beauty services, retail, hospitality, or customer service environment. Prior experience in a similar licensed beauty advisor or esthetician role is preferred.
Education
Valid, active state cosmetology, esthetics, or beauty license (or equivalent beauty services certification) as required by New York State to perform waxing, makeup application, and false lash services.
