Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio including makeup application, waxing and false‑lash services in accordance with Sephora’s services menu.
- Achieve store sales and service objectives by rebooking appointments, recommending products and converting consultations into retail sales.
- Maintain active state licensure and adhere to hygiene, health and safety protocols at all times.
- Provide personalized client consultations that educate and empower customers on products, techniques and routines.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative team culture and support store standards, policies and a positive customer experience.
- Fulfill scheduling requirements: be available for required minimum weekly shifts and peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays; demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Active, state‑recognized license permitting waxing, makeup and false‑lash application in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or experience in retail, hospitality or client‑facing service environments.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, techniques and current trends.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting client relationships.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable schedule adherence and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a licensed esthetician, beauty advisor, or customer‑facing retail/service role; experience in makeup and waxing services preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state‑approved esthetics/cosmetology program or equivalent licensure training required.
