Sephora seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized beauty services and product expertise at its Santa Monica location. The role encompasses makeup application, waxing, and false eyelash services while maintaining active licensure and upholding rigorous hygiene standards. This flexible, part-time position offers non-guaranteed hours (4–14 per week) and requires availability during peak retail operations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide makeup application, waxing, and eyelash services according to Sephora's Beauty Services menu
- Drive sales and rebook clients for future beauty appointments and services
- Educate clients on beauty trends, product knowledge, and skincare techniques to empower purchasing decisions
- Maintain active licensure and comply with all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment and support company culture initiatives
- Ensure punctual attendance and maintain consistent reliability across assigned shifts
- Uphold Sephora standards for customer service, safety, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Active license to provide waxing, makeup application, and false eyelash services in California
- 1–3 years of professional experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing service roles
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, current trends, and application techniques
- Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized service and cultivate lasting client relationships
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Experience
1–3 years of professional experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-focused environment. Beginners with an active beauty license and transferable service experience will be considered.
Education
Active state license (California) to provide waxing, makeup application, and eyelash services. Completion of relevant cosmetology, esthetics, or beauty services training program required.
